Airex® Balance Pad

The AIREX Balance pad is an active therapy and training device made of the familiar soft AIREX foam material. The Balance Pad with its smooth surface is ideal for starting out with barefoot balance training. The thickness of 6 cm gives the Balance Pad the desired destabilising characteristics. Due to the yielding foam, the body is constantly challenged in order to maintain balance and stabilise the joints. This exercises more and deeper muscles compared to performing the same exercises without the Balance Pad. Training with the Balance Pad can purposefully improve conditional and coordinative abilities in combination, for example strength, endurance, differentiation and balance. Due to the comfortable, smooth surface, the Balance Pad is not entirely slip-resistant on smooth floors. Use the Airex® Balance Pad for balance activities that help to improve weight shift and equilibrium in quadriped, half-kneeling and biped positions.

The Airex® Balance Pad Elite has the same dimensions as the original Balance Pad and features a waffle-pattern, non-slip surface on both sides that provides stimulation to foot receptors during exercise.
